Our practice uses various different methods of chiropractic care and techniques depending upon the patient and their individual needs. Incorporating many techniques including SOT, Thompson, Activator, and Arthrostim/impulse instrument adjusting to relive pain and discomfort. Specializing in upper cervical care – called Atlas Orthogonal chiropractic, we have the tools and expertise to treat acute subluxation. Our approach is a gentle, specific, non manipulative types of treatment that are very effective for a variety of issues including migraines/headaches, post concussion syndrome, neck and back pain, radiating arm and leg pain, shoulder pain, sciatica, and much more.
Atlas Orthogonal
Dr. Mayheu is a board certified practitioner of the Atlas Orthogonal method of chiropractic treatment. One of the most well researched methods of chiropractic care, it has significant advantages for our patients. These benefits include head, neck, and low back pain, sciatica and much more. Dr. Mayheu benefited from as a patient herself. This method of care was the most effective in controlling and finally eliminating her migraine headaches, TMJ dysfunction, and pain.
The stylus that is positioned behind the patients ear is specific to the individual patient based on x-ray analysis. It provides a light pressure in a way to correct the upper cervical misalignment. Because it is a low force technique that does not turn, twist, rotate the head nor “crack” the neck, it is very low risk of adverse reaction.
This method of chiropractic has proven beneficial for head and neck pain as well as low back pain and sciatica and much more.
